This study aimed to identify the role of the participation of employees in decision-making to improve their performance in public organizations and to show the ways to benefit from the participation of workers in decision-making, as well as to identify the difficulties that may face its application. To achieve these objectives, the analytical descriptive approach was used, literature review, and theoretical and applied studies on the participation of employees in decision-making and its role in improving their performance in public organizations. Through a comprehensive analysis, the study reached results that indicated some difficulties, such as the absence of policies that support the participation of employees in decision-making, the absence of an effective communication system that supports the participation of employees in decision-making, and the centralization of decision-making in public organizations. The study proved that the participation of employees will improve the performance of employees in public organizations. The study concluded with a set of suggested recommendations to support and activate the participation of employees in decision-making within public organizations.
